More Information on Juicy Couture perfume
Why does Juicy Couture perfume contain alcohol?
Alcohol makes the fragrance emanate from your skin. Without alcohol, you would be the only person who knew you were wearing any fragrance at all.
How can I keep my bottle of Juicy Couture perfume from going bad?
Keep all fragrance in a cool, dry area, and away from windows as sunlight can unbalance the various ingredients. An opened bottle of Juicy Couture perfume should be kept in its box to
insure a longer shelf life.
How can I make my bottle of Juicy Couture perfume last longer?
Juicy Couture perfume lasts longer on some people than on others because of differences in our skin (oily or dry) and in our PH levels.
To achieve a longer effect, try layering your fragrance. Using the fragrance bath gel, (if the company offers one), then the moisturizer or powder,
and then the Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum or Eau de Cologne, will usually have a longer lasting effect.
Also, apply your fragrance low on the body, as well as behind your ears and on your neck, so that the scent rises and you will not lose it as quickly.
A light spray on the hair can last all day.
Why do Juicy Couture perfume smell different on different people?
Your own body chemistry affects how differerent notes react on your skin. Anything that affects the "natural" smell of your skin, such as stress,
hormonal changes, your current diet might change how a perfume smells on you.
Juicy Couture - Designer History
Founded by designers Gela Nash-Taylor (graduated Carnegie Mellon as a drama major in 1978 and later married Duran Duran bassist, John Taylor) and Pamela Skaist-Levy (wife of television director, Jefery Levy), Juicy Couture is a popular line of contemporary, casual apparel. It is best known for velour tracksuits, favorite amongst Hollywood celebrities, and for catchy catchphrases. Nash and Skaist-Levy first teamed up to start Travis Jeans, which specialized in maternity wear, especially comfortable jeans for pregnant women, in response to Gela?s inability to find them when she was pregnant. As the women learned the fashion business ropes, their tiny start-up eventually evolved into Juicy Couture (launched 1997). With an initial investment of $200 of their own money, Juicy began as an obscure brand of expensive t-shirts, initially designed for their friends. It later evolved into a full line of women's apparel, focusing especially on comfy sweat suits and sportswear. Based upon their resounding success, they added collections for men and children in 2002, Juicy Barbie Dolls and other accessories. They then launched Couture Couture cocktail and evening wear, as they describe it "Juicy after dark".
In 2003, Liz Claiborne purchased Juicy Couture, with Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor remaining as co-presidents.
Juicy Couture - Perfume History
Sure to be as popular as their fashion line, Juicy?s freshman fragrance, Juicy Couture Eau de Parfum and Parfum, created by perfumer Harry Fremont, just recently launched (August, 2007). The scent features such olfactory goodies as watermelon, mandarin, pink passion fruit, marigold, green apple, water hyacinth, tuberose absolute, wild rose, princess lily, caramel crème brulée, vanilla and patchouli aromas. The designers describe the fragrance as "like something Barbie might wear," personifying youth and vitality.
