The Bvlgaris hail from a Greek silversmith family in the village of Epirus, where the founder of the family, Sotirio, made precious objects in silver. Bvlgari introduced its debut collection of silk scarves in 1997, and a year later introduced leather bags and eyewear. In 1999, table and giftware lines rounded out the company?s diverse offerings. Since then, the Bvlgari brand has remained synonymous with luxury and quality.
